The university canteen, located on the Borská Pole campus, offers meals to the public. Meals purchased in the cafeteria are not included in the course fee.

Lunch

The canteen serves lunch on weekdays from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm. Apart from main courses, soups, and vegetable salads, the canteen also offers small refreshments such as cheese or ham platters, fast-food items, hot and cold beverages, filled baguettes, and more.

You can choose from several main dishes. When entering the canteen hall, have a look at the glass showcase opposite the entrance to see sample portions of dishes being served. Each dish has a number.

Please remember the number of the meal you want. Pick up a tray, cutlery, and a napkin at the entrance. Meal numbers are displayed above the serving counter, and the cooking staff will serve you the dish you request.

The estimated price of the main dish is CZK 110–150. Soup (CZK 20–30 extra) is not included in the price of lunch. Students and employees of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (UWB) can pay using their JIS card; others may pay in cash,by meal vouchers (Sodexo Pass and Chéque Déjeuner only), or by credit/debit card. Receipts are available on request.

The glass display by the cash desk near the serving counter, also offers cheese or ham platters, vegetable salads (salads numbered 10, 11, etc. count as main-course meals and are priced higher), desserts, hot and cold beverages including bottled and draught beer, sweets, frozen products, and baguettes. Used dishes should be placed on the conveyor belt, which is located on the left-hand side of the canteen, around the corner. Hot water for tea is also available there; tea bags can be purchased at the cash desk.

Dinner

The canteen does not serve dinner. We recommend using several reasonably priced restaurants near the dormitories.

Additional dining options outside the university campus are available at the Borská Pole shopping centre (Tesco hypermarket, Chinese bistro, McDonald’s, Bageterie Boulevard, pizzeria, café, etc.) at  2 U Letiště Street, Plzeň-Bory.
