Course name: French for Children Aged 6-11 – Week-long Course
The course is designed for children aged 6 to 11 with no, or little, knowledge of French, but French children are also welcome to enjoy a week full of games, fun and songs in French. The course emphasizes the development of children’s speech competence in the most natural way: through controlled creative activities and games. The ability to listen, comprehend and reproduce what is heard is the focus of the course. Vocabulary and topics are based on the children’s interests and naturally arise when basic communication needs to take place.
Course Objective:The course is aimed at raising the children’s level of interest in French and foreign languages in general; teaching them basic communication skills while supporting their general development (motor skills, creativity, mathematical reasoning) through various French-language activities and games. The course prepares pupils to achieve an A1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Minimum Entry Level: No prior knowledge of French is necessary.

Grammatical phenomena are not discussed separately. Rather, they are acquired naturally during various games and activities as part of grammar-lexical structures that are appropriate for an A1 level according to the CEFR.
The vocabulary and topics are based on the interests of the participants and their communication needs in French during the course. The course addresses everyday communication needs in a francophone environment (greetings and other courtesy phrases, me and my family, my hobbies, home, food, counting, instructions etc).Price: 3.890 CZK
