Course name: French – Intermediate (B1) –Week-long Intensive Course
The course is designed for intermediate students with an entry level of B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Grammatically, special attention is paid to the subjunctive, conditionals, indirect speech and the related tense harmony. The vocabulary and conversation topics taught naturally follow the grammar discussed in class. The focus is on everyday life situations and on current events in the Czech Republic and French-speaking countries.
The aim of the course is to prepare students to achieve a B2 level according to the CEFR. Graduates will have achieved a better understanding of media reports and will be better oriented in the current events of selected francophone countries and regions. Graduates will also be able to hold a conversation about more complex topics, will respond more readily and make fewer mistakes when responding to questions, and will be able to describe their past experiences in detail, as well as express their plans for the future using the correct time context and the likelihood of the plans being realized.
