Course name: French – Beginners (A1) – Week-long Intensive Course
Course Content:
The course is designed for beginners and false beginners with an A1 entry level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The course is focused on developing all language skills. It introduces all the basic grammar topics, and that knowledge is then deepened and extended to the appropriate level. Vocabulary and discussion topics follow naturally from the grammar that is being taught. The focus is on everyday life situations.
Course objective:
The aim of the course is to prepare students to achieve A2 level according to CEFR. Graduates will be able to write a simple, coherent text with the use not only of the present tense, but also of future and past tenses, and will be able to easily express themselves, converse and manage everyday situations at the appropriate level. Graduates will also understand the gist of a simple conversation and be able to read personal letters and other simplified texts.

Grammar:
A revision of verb conjugation in the present tense, the formation and use of the basic past and future tenses (passé composé, imparfait, futur proche, futur simple), conditionals in the present, articles, possessive and personal pronouns.
Topics:
Common life situations (family, school, interests and hobbies, work and leisure), francophone countries.
