Course name: English – Intermediate (A2) – Three-Week, Full-Day Course
Course Content: Participants will strengthen their language skills at a level corresponding to A2 level (vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar structures and language functions); they will work on their competences (speaking, listening, reading and writing), as well as gain enhanced communication skills. The lesson is divided into three 90 min blocks and one 45 min block each day. The first block focuses on grammar, the second block on vocabulary and the third on practical language and conversation. The 45-minute block will be taught by native speakers from the summer school’s TEFL program. Students are divided into levels following placement tests.
Course objective: The course will strengthen and develop the language skills and competences of participants at the A2 level. Participants will acquire vocabulary to do with everyday life and grammar appropriate for their level. They will understand sentences and frequently used phrases relating to their personal lives (e.g. family information, employment/study, hobbies). They will be able to communicate while dealing with simple, common tasks that require a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar facts. They will be able to easily describe their own family, immediate surroundings and issues related to their most urgent needs. Participants learn how to use basic phrases when traveling and learn how to express their attitudes and opinions in a simple way.
