Course name: Italian – Beginners (A1) – Week-Long Afternoon Course
Course Content: The course is designed for full-time students. The course covers the rules of pronunciation and basic grammar ( the noun system, verb system, articles, prepositions) and simple conversation topics regarding everyday life (introducing oneself, family, food).
Course Objective: Graduates of the course will have gained correct pronunciation and will be able to read texts in simple Italian. They will also be able to communicate well enough to be able to handle basic life situations, make new acquaintances using Italian, and hold a basic conversation on common topics, as well as easily describe or express their opinions, wishes and needs.
Minimum Entry Level: None.
Note: It is also possible to attend other courses offered in the three weeks of the summer school, either before or after this course.

alphabet, pronunciation of consonants, double consonants, vowel length, accent, gender, plural of nouns, plural of adjectives, definite article, indefinite article, regular verbs in present tense, irregular verbs essere, avere, fare, prepositions, basic numerals.
Topics:
greetings, introductions, personal details, description of persons, family, food, work.
